US Trailer For Gareth Edwards’ MONSTERS Arrives, Film Becomes Latest Subjected To Bizarre MPAA Ratings Decision.
The official US trailer for Gareth Edwards’ post-alien arrival scifi road movie Monsters – coming to theatres from Magnet releasing October 29th – has just arrived at Apple and it’s a good one. Like the previous UK trailer it plays the action card more heavily than really reflects the film in a bid to sell tickets but while the UK campaign was wildly over the line the US version is much truer to the spirit of the actual movie. This is a good thing because it’s a good movie and shouldn’t need to be presented as something its not to get people to turn out.
Byrne, Platt Added to Crowded ‘X-Men’ Cast
Rose Byrne, Oliver Platt, and Jason Flemyng have joined the growing cast of Matthew Vaughn’s X-Men: First Class.
The superhero reboot will tell the origins of Professor Charles Xavier (James McAvoy) and Erik Lensherr/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and the creation of the mutant team called the X-Men. Byrne, who stars in the TV series “Damages,” will play Dr. Moira MacTaggert. In the comics, MacTaggert is one of the world’s leading experts on genetic mutation and Xavier’s love interest at Oxford University.
Brandon Routh is just yummy to watch. I didn’t notice much about the movie lol. What do you think of the trailer?
