Back in May, the first shots of Jason Momoa as Conan the Barbarian popped up online. They were blurry, they were small, and not much to get excited about. Unlike those, the first official photo isn’t only much bigger, but at it’s a clear picture.

FIRST GREEN HORNET PICS AND VIDEO INCLUDES EXPLOSIONS AND HOOD-MOUNTED GALTING GUNS

The first Green Hornet pictures have been unleashed on the internet.

Seth Rogen, star of Knocked Up and Pineapple Express, is the unlikely casting choice as the lead Britt Reid/Green Hornet for director Michel Gondry, the enigmatic man behind such films as ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’ and ‘Be Kind Rewind’.

The film also stars Cameron Diaz, Oscar-winning Christoph Walz from Inglorious Basterds, Edward Furlong, Edward James Olmos, Tom Wilkinson and Jay Chou as Kato.

The script was co-written by Rogen, and sees debonair newspaper publisher Britt Reid fight crime masked superhero The Green Hornet. At his side is martial arts expert Kato, who in previous iterations has proven to be the star of the show. The Green Hornet first saw the light of day as a 30’s radio serial, and then a sixties TV series, starring Bruce Lee.

Source: io9.com

The Last Airbender will carve a new path in visual effects, showing you things no movie ever has: water tentacles and gusts of fire. We visited Industrial Light and Magic, and saw what every other movie will be copying soon.

Whether Airbender satisfies fans of the classic Nickelodeon cartoon, and whether it succeeds in being a Star Wars for a new generation, one thing’s clear after spending the day at ILM: It’s going to be an innovative film from a VFX perspective, maybe as groundbreaking as The Matrix was in its day. Here are seven things the ILM team showed a group of visiting reporters a couple of months ago:

THE 3 THINGS YOU’RE ALLOWED TO KNOW ABOUT M. NIGHT’S NEXT MOVIE

Source: scifiwire.com

The Last Airbender won’t open until July 1, but M. Night Shyamalan isn’t waiting around to see how it does at the box office before lining up his next project. According to Heat Vision, Shyamalan is already shopping around his newest script, and as usual for the secretive director … we can’t tell you much. But we can tell you something.

As of today, here are the only three things you’re allowed to know:

1. He’s got major stars interested in the project.

We have no idea what the film will be about, whether it will be an original story or another adaptation, but whatever he’s got planned, it must be good, because Bruce Willis, Bradley Cooper and Gwyneth Paltrow are all loosely attached to star.

SYFY LETTING VIEWERS CREATE NEW MOVIE

Source: hollywoodreporter.com

Syfy is giving online fans a chance to write and design every aspect of an upcoming Saturday night creature feature.

The network is launching a production site, B Movie Mogul, where fans can vote and pitch ideas for the film, from title, creatures, wardrobe, dialogue and character deaths to promotional taglines.

The resulting “script” will be shot as a two-hour Syfy original movie to be released next year.

“We constantly have fans e-mailing with compliments, complaints and questions about our movies, and this is a way of involving the fans in a new way,” said Thomas Vitale, executive vp programming and original movies. “This is where entertainment is going and just the start of many more things of this nature for Syfy.”

Sci-Fi Epic ‘Ready Player One’ Coming To Warner Bros

Source: theflickcast.com

When the statement “think Willy Wonka, The Matrix, and Avatar rolled into one” is used, and not referring to a drug-induced coma, you can understand why a studio like Warner Bros. would greenlight the project. Not only did the studio become interested after that description, but it won in a bidding war for the project against other studios such as Paramount.

The film is based on a book that hasn’t even been released yet about a teenage boy who escapes his bleak reality into a virtual one, uncovering an epic adventure along the way. Ernie Cline (Fanboys) is penning the script with Green Lantern producer Donald De Line stepping in to produce.
