Exclusive: ‘Harry Potter’ Sneak Peek To Premiere At Scream Awards

What would an awards show that honors all things sci-fi, fantasy, comics and horror be without one killer exclusive? This year’s Scream Awards will feature an exclusive clip from one of the most highly anticipated films set for release this fall.

MTV News can exclusively announce that the show, which airs October 19 on Spike, will feature a world premiere sneak peek at “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 1.” And that sneak peek will include some never-before-seen footage.

Betty White to appear in ‘Men In Black 3’

Betty White will reportedly have a cameo role in Men In Black 3.

According to website Bloody Disgusting, the 88-year-old actress is to appear as the mother of one of the movie’s protagonists.

The Proposal star will join Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Josh Brolin, Jemaine Clement, Emma Thompson and Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger in the sequel’s cast.

They say you can never entirely delete information from a computer, and perhaps the same is true for the human brain. But what if you could? That’s the premise behind “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” the 2004 sci-fi fantasy starring Jim Carrey as a man who employs the services of a memory-extermination firm to erase all mental traces of his ex-girlfriend.

“That’s a very interesting idea, sort of a sinister idea, right?” Dr. Catherine Woolley said when I rang her up last week. “When we get into movies or stories that involve changing people’s minds, I think that becomes very personal and therefore very interesting.”

Why Hollywood can’t get the hang of science fiction

If science fiction is a genre of ideas, is there any wonder Hollywood doesn’t get it?

Look. There are are only two truly great science fiction movies. The first is Stanley Kubrick’s 2001, written in collaboration with Arthur C Clarke. The second is Blade Runner, directed by Ridley Scott and adapted from Philip K Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep. You may disagree with this statement. You would be wrong. Let’s move on.

When Will You See the BATTLE: LOS ANGELES and PAUL Teaser Trailers?

If you follow Simon Pegg on Twitter, you already know the international teaser trailer for Paul will premiere in UK theaters tomorrow on The Social Network (only at Odeon and Vue cinemas). This will be the first official footage from Greg Mottola’s movie to be released. When a studio releases a teaser trailer in theaters on a Friday, it usually means it’ll be online soon after.
