Who is Lindsay Avalon? Well, I am many things. I’m a wife, pseudo-mother to an adorable mini Schnauzer, a programmer by day, and of course a paranormal romance writer. I’m obsessed with rubber duckies, sexy men, and sharing my chaos and insanity with the 
world. I firmly believe magic and myths should exist in our every day life and that normal is boring.
I’ve always loved hearing myths and legends from cultures all over the world. When I was little, my older sister would literally drill me on Greek and Latin mythology. She introduced me to the wonders of the fantasy genre and it certainly inspired my writing. I love day dreaming that magic is real and at one time I was afraid I might be a little crazy because of the voices and scenes that would play out in front of me. Well, I probably am a bit crazy but crazy’s more fun right? Turns out I just have a writer’s brain and my ideas and day dreams were demanding to be set free onto paper.
When I’m not writing or working my day job, I love flitting about learning different crafts. I used to joke that I have the housewife gene because I love cooking, baking, sewing, crochet, cross stitch, scrapbooking, and just about any other little crafts I can get my hands on. Of course, I’m not particularly spectacular at any of those crafts but that’s ok, it makes me happy anyway. I love playing video games and watching my husband play video games.
Then there’s reading, oh how I love reading. Before I decided to review books, I had an obscenely high book budget every month. Some months I spent more on books than I did on my electric, water, and gas bill COMBINED. Now, I have hardly any time to read that much but I do still squeeze in time, even if it means I wake up early to do it. Nothing can get me out of bed in the morning except for reading. I’ve been known to sleep through a tornado, hurricane, and an earthquake, but if there’s a new book being released I’ve been dying for, I’ll wake up an hour and a half early for work just so I can get a jump on it. Granted, I usually end up late to work, but luckily my job is flexible 🙂
Now for some quick favorites before I run off:
– Color: Blue
– Animal: Duckies, followed by dolphins and penguins
– Vacation destination: Disney World
– Foods: Bread, cheese, chicken fingers, ice cream, and ranch dressing. Not in that order though 😉
– TV Shows: Mentalist and Castle
– Activity: Swimming!
