Synopsis: A strange man shows up at the office of language expert Samantha Yale with a mysterious scroll written in an even more mysterious language. As she begins to translate, she discovers an eyewitness account of the war in heaven from an angel who sided with Lucifer and then deeply regretted his decision. The tale is hard to believe . . . but impossible to ignore.

Review: Lucifer’s Flood is the story of Satan’s rebellion against God’s creation of humanity, his battle with Heaven, and what happened when he was thrown from God’s realm. The story is told from the view point of one of the lower angels who didn’t exactly choose to follow Lucifer but was so panicked by the war he ended up getting cast out in a case of misunderstanding.

The writing is absolutely wonderful in this book. It is clear, descriptive, and to the point. The fluidity of the scenes and events that led up to Satan’s banishment as well as what happened after he fell from grace, seamlessly fit together. The pacing is right on point, catching your curiosity and moving quickly to heighten the suspense.

The lower angel who accidently fell from grace will win your heart. He is very nonchalant about his fate but also very determined to tell the truth. He manages to make the devil sympathetic in some ways and relatable. I also sympathized with the little fallen angel for his plight.

The story moves from Lucifer’s relationship with God to the Creation of Earth followed by the creation of Adam and Eve and into the birth of Moses then God choosing Noah to build the ark before drowning the world in water. The author manages to touch such scared and deeply respected stories with beauty and ease which helps the reader feel free to make his or her own decisions about how they feel of the author’s interpretation without feeling overwhelming preachy.

Lucifer’s Flood is a very interesting and thought provoking take on Lucifer, Heaven, and Creation. You will laugh, feel for the characters, and be hooked to the mystery of Lucifer’s decisions and God’s reactions.

I loved this book! And I am looking forward to reading the next installment, The Deliverer, as soon as I can!!

Definitely a book fans of the supernatural genre will really enjoy (whether Christian or not)!
