Today it’s time to remember one of the most famous and really great fantasy authors.
John Ronald Reuel Tolkien died September 2nd, 1973.
He is father of Hobbits, Orcs, and Elves – he introduced us to Middle-Earth and brought us Silmarillion.
Let’s pause for a moment and think of this wonderful and talented British writer.
36 years ago The Daily Telegraph obituary read as follows:
“Bilbo found a scrap of black twist and tied it round his arm. The little hobbit wept bitterly. Somewhere in the world of fantasy that Prof. J.R.R. Tolkien created, this is happening at the news of his death.”
