With “Twilight” and “True Blood” sucking up all the media attention (PUN!!!), zombie fans out there will be tickled pink as a juicy brain (STRANGE METAPHOR!) to know that the living dead are slated for something of a comeback.

You’ve got the zombification of Jane Austen’s “Pride & Prejudice,” the funny-looking, Woody-Harrelson-starring comedy “Zombieland” hitting theaters this fall, as well as a new film from George A. Romero on the way.

But the biggest news as of late is AMC’s announcement that it has acquired the rights to Robert Kirkman’s comic book, “The Walking Dead.” And, says The Hollywood Reporter, a potential series is likely in the stars.

Sounds super cool. Comic books can be just as good as any other type of book. Many fans enjoy reading and seeing the images.

It will be interesting to see those images brought to the big screen.

What say you? Are you interested? Do you like Zombies? (zombies seem gross to me but I’m up for giving it a chance.)
