INTERTWINED: YA BOOK CLUB CHAPTER- 10

Intertwined: Chapter 10

by Caro

Aden was working on his homework, an English paper about Shakespeare’s plays but could not concentrate. His mind was field with thoughts about Mary Ann, the souls, Shannon and the wolf. Each soul game him their opinion on the situation and he almost feared that Eve would take him back; travel into the body of a younger version of him to solve the mystery. And then Dan called lights out.

Aden waited hours until everything was quiet and then climbed out the window. He headed towards the forest and into the clearing that Victoria had showed him. He needed to see her. On his way there he noticed voices getting closer and for fear that they were vampire hunters he got closer and then someone tackled him from behind. Aden and his attacker began to fight and then he realized that it was Ozzie.

Memorable Quotes

Caleb: “You should ignore her, treat her like crap. That’s what really gets a girl’s attention.”

Eve: “Don’t listen to him. He was lecher in another life, I just know it. Girls respect boys who treat them well.”

Victoria: “Delicious.”

Aden: “Does being bitten hurt?”

Victoria: “I’m told it can be quite wonderful.”

Eve: “We’ve talked about this. Your crap theory is crap”

Aden: “Am I drooling?”

Caleb: “Dear Lord in Heaven. I know, I know. I’m supposed to be quiet. But the words slipped out because—and I could be mistaken here—I think my tongue is hanging out. Never mind that I don’t actually have one.”

Narrator: A princess. Suddenly Aden felt even more inadequate. She was royalty, and he was poor, stuck at a ranch with kids too wild for civilization.
