Kelly Macdonald Joins ‘Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows – Part 2’
moviesblog.mtv.com: Shooting may have wrapped on the set of “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” over the summer, but that doesn’t mean the cameras have stopped rolling. In an interview with “Boardwalk Empire” leading lady Kelly Macdonald, Vanity Fair found out that the actress was recently cast in “Deathly Hallows: Part 2” and is now filming her role in post-production.
Macdonald will be playing the Ravenclaw house ghost, the Grey Lady. Harry Potter’s search for Horcruxes that started in “Half-Blood Prince” and continued through “Deathly Hallows: Part 1” will inevitably bring the boy wizard back to Hogwarts in “Part 2,” and that’s where the Grey Lady, real name Helena Ravenclaw, comes in to play. Not to give too much away, but she has some information that will help Harry, Ron and Hermione on their quest.
Rumoured release date for Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part 1 DVD and Blu-ray
www.denofgeek.com: With nearly $800m in the bank from the cinematic release of Part 1 alone, Warner Bros is, we suspect, mightily pleased with its plan to split the final Harry Potter book into two films. And 2011 looks like being the most financially lucrative year for the Potter movie franchise yet. After all, we’ve got the cinematic release of Part 2 in July, and the DVD and Blu-ray releases of both films next year.
Firstly, DanRadcliffe.de has, it reports, had a natter with Warner Bros Switzerland, which is circling a release date of March 18th 2011. That feels about right to us.
Second Ollivander’s Shop Added to Wizarding World of Harry Potter
www.hollywoodnews.com: Anyone who has had the chance to visit Universal Orlando’s Wizarding World of ‘Harry Potter’ knows that long, long lines are all a part of the experience, and no shop is more a testament to that fact than Ollivander’s Wand Shop. The powers-that-be at Universal must have also realized that, as it is being reported that a second Ollivander’s has been added to accommodate the massive crowds that are eager to find out which “wand will choose the wizard.”
According to Inside the Magic, the second wand shop has been converted from a former employee stock room, and will allow more visitors access to the vast array of wands and other Harry Potter themed merchandise within Ollivander’s. Guests to the theme park, which opened its doors this past June, have been known to stand in line for more than an hour for the experience of being able to choose a wand, just as Harry Potter himself did in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
Kelly looks perfect for the Grey Lady, I kind of imagine she’ll look like her character in nanny Mcphee with that white dress. I was worried they wouldn’t include the scenes with her, it’s like half a chapter or less, she tells her story and Tom’s too. There is still so much that we’ll see in part 2.
