Open Book Society wants to congratulate the actor Viggo Mortensen to his birthday!

Viggo Peter Mortensen, Jr. was born October 20, 1958 in New York City, New York. The actor, poet, musician, photographer and painter is best known for his role as Aragorn in Peter Jacksons ‘The Lord of the Rings’ film trilogy, as Tom Stall in ‘A History of Violence’, for his Academy Award-nominated role as Nikolai Luzhin in ‘Eastern Promises’ and as ‘The Man’ in the film adaptation of Cormac McCarthys novel ‘The Road’. In April this year Viggo Mortensen was awarded the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Dannebrog.
