Sir Patrick Hewes Stewart, OBE, was born July 13, 1940 in Mirfield, West Yorkshire, England, UK. He is a film, television and stage actor, and university Chancellor. Sir Patrick Stewart has had a distinguished career in theatre and television for around half a century. But he is most widely known for his television and film roles, especially as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation’ series and movies and as Professor Charles Xavier in the ‘X-Men’ films.
