Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale was born July 26, 1973 in London, England, UK. Throughout the 1990s she worked on film and television, most notably in the United Kingdom. In 2001, Kate Beckinsale was recogniced international when she was cast in ‘Pearl Harbor’. Since then she has portrayed a variety of characters in projects such as ‘The Aviator’, ‘Van Helsing’ and the ‘Underworld’ series – there she is playing Selene, a vampire. Kate Beckinsale and her former partner and co-star in ‘Underworld’, Michael Sheen, have an eleven year old daughter, Lily Mo Sheen.
