Open Book Society wants to congratulate the actor Christian Bale to his birthday!

Christian Charles Philip Bale was born January 30th, 1974 in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, Wales, UK. He first caught the public eye at the age of 13 in Steven Spielbergs ‘Empire of the Sun’. Next to many other roles, 2002 he was Cleric John Preston in ‘Equilibrium’, 2009 John Connor in ‘Terminator Salvation’ and Melvin Purvis in ‘Public Enemies’. Christian received critical acclaim for his performance in ‘The Fighter’, earning him several awards including the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture and a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. But since 2005 we know him best for portraying Bruce Wayne in the ‘Batman’ series.
