MICHAEL BAY AND JAMES CAMERON AGAINST 3D CONVERSIONS
Seems like not all directors, e.g. Michael Bay, James Cameron, are satisfied with the whole 3D conversion thing that we write so much about, so check this latest news:
Bay told he’s skeptical of the after-the-fact process of converting 2D movies to 3D, and looks like both Cameron and Bay share the same opinion…
So, we all know Avatar director pushed some limits, but we’re also witnesses of this new Hollywood “I-will-convert-even-myself” trend.
Is it about quality or quantity, you might ask?
When it comes to a man best known for directing high-budget action-adventure films characterized for their fast edits and substantial use of practical effects – quality is priority.

THE PROMETHEUS PROJECT BIRTHS A STEM CELL FRANKENSTEIN
Blast those scientists always meddling in God’s domain. Have none of them read Frankenstein? Now it’s stem cells giving rise to an unhappy undead abomination. What have scream queen Tiffany Shepis and Louis (brother of Costas) Mandylor wrought upon us with The Prometheus Project?
The Prometheus Project tells the Frankenstein-inspired tale of a group of researchers conducting underground stem cell research that discover a cell anomaly that has the potential to regenerate dead tissue. Believing they have created a “universal healing serum”, the researchers apply the serum to corpses with “unfavorable” results.

DEMANDING BETTER VAMPIRES
The newest trend among vampires seems to be removing any downside at all from actually being a vampire.
We watched the first two episodes of Being Human last night—a British vampire/werewolf series. And while I’m grateful that these vampires and werewolves aren’t high schoolers and make a stab at something other than stalking young girls and sparkling, I’m a little…sigh over the whole thing.
Gone are the days of Nosferatu or even Dracula—apparently vampires can walk around in the daylight now, whether they sparkle or not (Being Human, The Vampire Diaries, Twilight), are universally hot (everything ever), functionally cannot be killed and honestly no one even tries anymore, can see themselves in mirrors most of the time, and can even touch crosses without going up like a roman candle (True Blood).

UNIVERSAL ORLANDO OPEN HARRY POTTER PARK ON JUNE 18
The Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry will open to Muggles for the first time on June 18. The Three Broomsticks Inn, Honeydukes sweets and all the other quirky shops in Hogsmeade village will open then too.
That’s when the non-wizarding public will be allowed to step into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the much-anticipated new attraction inside Universal Orlando’s Islands of Adventure park that brings to life the weird and wonderful realm of the famous boy wizard.

Anyone, being director, or not, who is anti-3D is on the same page as me. Nuff said.
From the looks of the poster The Prometheus Project looks like a zombie movie and quite creepy. Which means I’ll have to see it.
I am in agreeance with demanding real vampire back! Only True Blood remains somewhat true to the by gone days of vampires being evil. They’re still all pretty much models of purtyness, but they at least have bite. (Heh Heh.) Today’s vampires are vegetarian so they remain politically correct, have an aura about them that they ‘care’ and seem less scary. But isn’t being afraid of vamps what it’s all about? What do you think?
Anyone wanting going to the Harry Potter Park when it opens?
