ERIN’S APRIL READING LOUNGE: WHAT SHE’S READING NOW

I’m doing mostly re-reads: I’m reading Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy again (I’ll be starting Restaurant at the End of the Universe by the end of the weekend, I’m sure). It’s been years since I’ve read them, so it’s time. I love these books, and the series only gets better the more often you read them. (5 stars)

I’m also re-reading The Hunger Games (and I’ll re-read Catching Fire and Mockingjay of course). I read them so fast the first time (one a day) that I’m taking my time this time around. I’m also re-reading Soulless (4 stars), which I started again for book club…and I can’t read the first one without wanting to re-read Changeless and Blameless. But if I read them slowly I’ll finish just in time for Heartless in June. (5 stars)

I’m also reading (for the first time) A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin. It’s book 2 in the A Song of Ice and Fire series (so it’s the sequel to A Game of Thrones). It’s over 900 pages, so I’ll be working on it for awhile. Since the HBO series was just picked up for a second season (and each season will be one book) I need to get ahead.

I just finished reading Wings (2 stars) and Water for Elephants. Water for Elephants was amazing, and now I can’t wait to see the movie. Wings was alright, but I don’t think I’ll bother with the sequels. It’s currently free for kindle (which is why I read it) here.

Just FYI, you don’t have to have a kindle to get it: you can download a free Kindle PC thing and read them on your computer or get the free app for your phone (which is what I did).

What are you reading now??
