Chapter 16 & 17 by Katie

Chapter 16 – Epoch
Chapter 17 – Alliance

Summary
Bella was going to be graduating in just a few hours and she couldn’t find anything to wear. The outfit she had planned on wearing had been kidnapped by thieving vampires. But luckily Alice had a vision and brought Bella a brand new shirt to wear. As Bella and Alice joked about being normal, Bella finally realized that the vampires who stole her shirt, is linked to the newborns army being built in Seattle. But before they could discuss it more Alice said that Edward was on his way and that she needed to leave.

Bella, Charlie, and Edward rode to graduation in the police cruiser. Which Charlie thought was funny because he made Edward sit in the back, behind the glass window. There wasn’t a lot of time for talk because when they got there they had to line up right away. Bella happened to be standing by Jessica, who could not be quiet. Bella was shocked at how fast everything was going one minute she heard her name being called, the next she was throwing her hat. Bella spotted Edward and walked over to him, she decided she was going to let him in on why Alice was keeping her thoughts occupied. Edward couldn’t believe he didn’t see it, he started to get a little vampy, so he excused himself from Charlie and Bella.

Charlie and Bella headed over to ‘The Lodge’ for dinner, but the whole time Bella couldn’t stay focused. She just wanted to make sure Edward was okay. She was able to convince Charlie that she wanted to get over to The Cullens house so she could help decorate with Alice. While Charlie was saying goodbye to his friends, Bella headed out to the car, where Edward showed up. He told her that he was better now, but Bella could tell that he was still on edge. As soon as Charlie started heading out to the car, Edward disappeared; and now Bella and Charlie where off to The Cullen’s house.

Bella couldn’t believe how overboard Alice went with the decorations. But Edward could only shrug, he knew how Alice could be. Before people arrived Edward felt that Jasper and Carlisle needed to know what was going on with the newborn vamps. Once everyone started to show up, Bella was the perfect hostess, talking to everyone with a smile on her face, but when Alice had a vision she got sidetracked. The door bell rung and Jacob was there. She had forgotten that she invited him before he turned in to a jerk. She told him to leave, but he refused. Jacob just wanted Bella to forgive him. Finally Bella agreed to forgive him and Jacob showed her the present he brought her. It was a hand carved wooden wolf charm bracelet. Even though Bella was happy about the beautiful gift, Jacob still knew something big was going on with Bella. He forced her and Alice to inform the wolves. When Alice was through telling them, her visions went blank. This happened to be the best news all day, now they might actually have a chance against the Newborns. And for the first time ever, wolves and vampires where going to work together.
