Emboldened by the return of Lord Voldemort, the Death Eaters are wreaking havoc in both the Muggle and wizarding worlds and Hogwarts is no longer the safe haven it once was. Harry suspects that new dangers may lie within the castle, but Dumbledore is more intent upon preparing him for the final battle that he knows is fast approaching. He needs Harry to help him uncover a vital key to unlocking Voldemort’s defenses critical information known only to Hogwarts’ former Potions Professor, Horace Slughorn. With that in mind, Dumbledore manipulates his old colleague into returning to his previous post with promises of more money, a bigger office and the chance to teach the famous Harry Potter.

Season 5 featured 17 episodes that aired on Wednesdays at 9:00 pm in the United States and Canada beginning January 21, 2009. Season five follows two time lines. The first takes place on the island where the remaining survivors erratically jump forward and backward through time until they are finally stranded with the Dharma Initiative in 1974. The second continues the original timeline which takes place both off the island and following the Oceanic Six’s return to the island on Ajira Airways Flight 316 in 2007.

Yay more Harry Potter… I seem to always miss these in theaters, but they are a must buy on my list. Don’t really like the whole ‘Ultimate Edition’ labels… what will they be next year… godly editions? I guess this is because of the holidays though, tons of boxed sets and gift boxes coming out.
