Short Bio and Review:
After graduating from Pittsburgh’s Carnegie-Mellon University in 1960, he began his career shooting commercials and short films. In the late 1960’s Romero and some friends formed Image Ten Productions and in 1968 they went on to produce what became one of the most celebrated horror films of all time; Night of the Living Dead which became a cult classic horror film and was a defining moment for the modern zombie horror genre.

Romero, not only a filmmaker, has dabbled in many arenas, such as comics with DC Comics title Toe Tags with a six-issue miniseries titled The Death of Death; games, with the game companyHip Interactive in creating a game called City of the Dead, unfortunately the game was canceled midway due to the financial problems of Hip Interactive; novels; and webisodes called Zombisodes, a combination of a series of “Making of” shorts and story expansion detailing the work behind the film Diary of the Dead.

Today he is practically the godfather of zombie horror.
