Journey has been living on the run for the past four years, ever since she discovered just how evil her father and grandfather are.  Thankfully, Ivan Resnova saved her that night, but after a night of passion together she ran from him.  She’s been living under assumed identities and running state to state ever since.  Journey was getting ready to flee once more when Ivan and his men swooped in and took her right before a strike team made their move.  It appears the other team was there to kill her and now Ivan is making it his mission to protect her.  He won’t stop until the threat to her is eliminated once and for all.

There is something about Journey aka Crimsyn that has always drawn Ivan.  He knew he was playing a dangerous game when he saved her from her family, and he raised the stakes with her latest rescue! And, now he has found a way to not only keep his Syn bound to him and in his bed, but to also get his vengeance against her family as well.  However, they are playing with fire and putting Journey in even more danger!  Will they get out of this alive or will Ivan lose everything in his biggest gamble yet?

I really enjoyed this book.  I wasn’t sure if I’d like this story or not, considering it was centered on Ivan and the girl we barely met in the last book, Syn.  What can I say, though?  I love my bad boys.  Ivan is the perfect mix of bad boy with a heart of gold that I just can’t resist!

Journey is a strong character as well.  Everything that her family has put her through has forced her to grow a spine of steel.  Except where Ivan is concerned.  He melts her willpower into goo!  But don’t worry she affects him just as badly!

I tried to hate the man her father and grandfather sold her to, Beauregard Grant.  However, I feel that he does have some redeeming qualities.  Like Journey said in her thoughts, he’s not one of the bad guys, but he’s not one of the good guys either.  I suspect he will have his own book coming up soon, especially considering his thoughts about love.

I feel that Ivan and Journey have a lot of story left to tell and I expect we’ll be seeing more of them in the near future!

This was another great read by Leigh that I couldn’t put down!  I can’t wait for the next one!
