“Out of This World: Extraordinary Costumes from Film and Television” celebrates the work of costume designers and contains more than 50 artifacts – from “Star Wars,” “Star Trek,” “Indiana Jones,” “Blade Runner,” “Batman & Robin” and “Ghostbusters II,” among others – on loan from the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame in Seattle.

“Out of This World” debuted at the Science Fiction Museum in 2007. It is the institution’s most popular traveling exhibition.

“It’s a testament to how much these properties – superheroes – impact our popular culture,” McMurray says. “The costumes become characters in and of themselves and don’t always look as impressive in real life. That’s the magic of the silver screen.

I would love to see these! It’s so interesting to see what the costumes are really made out of, since they looked so real in the movies.

What do you think of the costumes? Anyone in the area going to check this out?
