Graphic Books Best-Seller Lists: Vampire Love

With so much loving going around for vampires, this collected edition was kind of inevitable: at No. 1 on the hardcover list this week is the first volume of the “Vampirella Archives,” published by Dynamite Entertainment. The earliest adventures of Vampirella, a good creature of the night who combats evil bloodsuckers, are contained within and date back to 1969. Her very first cover was by Frank Frazetta and the writers and artists who chronicled her stories are the best of the best: Archie Goodwin, Bernie Wrightson, Wally Wood, Neal Adams and more.
In news that made some fans wistful for simpler times, last week DC Comics announced that it would return to the tradition of printing a letters page in its monthly comic books.
