‘Tis The Season… For Christmas Cards From The Comics World

Every year around this time, the mail arriving at Splash Page HQ gets a little more, well… awesome. Given that there’s usually a steady stream of comics and movies crossing my desk, that’s saying a lot — but that’s the magic of holiday card time.
Take, for example, the following art sent my way from “Doctor Who” writer Tony Lee and the newly formed Manor Club Productions with Daniel Boultwood and Ciaran Lucas:
Yes, that’s the trio battling anti-Santa robots while riding unicorns that shoot lasers out of their eyes.

Marvel Comics has one of the The Fantastic Four killed in January comic

The Fantastic Four news from Marvel yesterday is not going to be good news for comic lovers. Mr. Fantastic, Invisible Woman, Human Torch and the Thing are looking at some bleak news. Marvel announced that one of these comic characters will be find themselves dead by the end of the January issue.
In secrecy that would put most celebrities to shame, the comic death will be in issue No. 587 next month. To make sure the surprise isn’t ousted the comic will be sent by mail in black sleeved plastic and there will be no copies initially on the newsstands.
