Is it possible to have too many vampires in one sandbox? If you’re ‘True Blood’ star Carrie Preston, the answer is probably yes now that the crowded landscape includes ‘The Vampire Diaries.’ “They have drained this corpse dry,” Preston, who plays Arlene Fowler on ‘Blood,’ told PopEater about all of the fanged projects of late. More vampire talk after the jump!

“Besides ‘Diaries,’ there are a couple of vampire movies coming out. I hope they stop. They’re diluting the blood, er water, for all of us,” Preston added.

Though she hasn’t seen any of the CW show ‘Diaries,’ Preston admits she has read all four ‘Twilight’ books. The big difference between them all, though, is that ‘Blood’ is most certainly for mature viewing.
