Portland Books Examiner Sara Gundell:
HBO aired the season 2 finale last night of its hit TV series True Blood, and that has left fans thirsty for more of their favorite Bon Temps residents.
The series isn’t returning with new episodes until next summer, but fans can satisfy their Blood lust by turning to the original tales of Sookie Stackhouse – by author Charlaine Harris.
Fans of the book series know that season 1 of True Blood followed the general storyline of Dead Until Dark, the first book in Harris’ series. Likewise, season 2 of the TV series followed the second book in the series, Living Dead in Dallas.
But if you’re a fan of the show – and new to the books – don’t think you can just pick up with book 3, Club Dead, and be able to follow along just fine. You’ll be lost.

I agree, go buy the books and then come back here and discuss them with us! LOL.
The books are great although a totally different entity than the series.
Have you read the books, or do you just watch the series? Why?
