As his first mate, the Chosen Cormia wants to win not only his body but his heart for herself- she sees the emotionally scarred male behind all his noble responsibility. But while the war with the Lessening Society grows more grim, and tragedy looms over the Brotherhood’s mansion, Phury must decide between duty and love.

Review:

I am not feeling this book, I found that is went on a completely different path then the rest of the series. As much as I love brother Phury, I am not loving this book. I found it really hard to get through. I did not like the story of how he is the Primale of the Chosen, and he is responsible for the fathering the future of his race. It was just too much, and coming from me, that is saying something.

What I did like about Phury, was how he overcame his addiction and how loyal he is to his brothers. Vishous was to be the Primale, but he was in love with Jane and Phury stepped up so that his brother could be happy. He saved his biological brother Zsadist and freed him from being a blood slave. Later, when he met Bella, he had feelings for her and he swallowed them for Zsadist.

Phury is truly a man of integrity, which you have to love, I just wish they had gone in a different direction with his story

Oh well, on to the next one, Lover Avenged.
