Review:
Zoey Porter is strictly business, both personally and professionally. She’s good at her job and she knows it. So when she is asked by her boss to take on the Kastel Estate Winery account, she is up to the challenge. But what she isn’t ready for is its darkly handsome owner, Andre Maras.
Andre has crafted his new wine lovingly from grapes brought over from his homeland, Croatia and it is of great importance that Zoey help him reach his target audience. It means the difference between life and death. Andre instantly recognizes her as the woman that he met in a bar some time ago. He has never forgotten her or the intense attraction that flowed between them and now that she is a guest in his house he fully intends to have her. But Andre is hiding a secret and both of them struggle with jealousy and their past. They find themselves in the middle of a war that has been raging for centuries and both must decide if love does indeed overcome all else.
Blood Vine is surprisingly original and erotic. The love story between Andre and Zoey is scorching! The story line is intricately detailed but never overwhelming. So if you like vampire stories with unexpected twists, Blood Vine is just for you. The ending suggested that there may be more books on the way and I hope that’s true because this is such a promising start that it leaves the reader hungry for more…
First off, there’s nothing warm and fuzzy when someone misrepresents your country suggesting we’re all vampires. Fine, I admit Croatian government is a bit of a blood sucker but last time we checked none of the members grew fangs. Yet.
Croatian people are one proud bunch and the country is 99% Roman Catholic We have very distinct and colorful past, and present, and if you decide to write about us, then please don’t make a mockery of our country, our people and heritage.
Sorry, but this is not funny and I can’t help but wonder if this author just woke up one day and decided to write about Croatian vampires. What was she thinking? She wasn’t, that’s the problem. This will not go well with Croatians and let her learn from Angelina Jolie, from what I hear she barely escaped Bosnia alive at the premiere of her movie.
