ALICE IN WONDERLAND YA BOOK CLUB CHAPTER 11 WHO STOLE THE TARTS?

Chapter 11 – Who Stole the Tarts?
By Caro

The King and Queen of Hearts were seated on their throne when they arrived, with a great crowd assembled about them. The Knave was standing before them in chains. Alice had never been in a court of justice before but was pleased that she had read about it and knew nearly everything there. The King was the judge and the jurors were twelve creatures.

The King ordered to read the accusation to which the Rabbit read, “The Queen of Heart, she made some tarts, all on a summer day; the Knave of Hearts, he stole those tarts and took them quite away!” once finish the King asked for a verdict and the Rabbit denied it clamming that there was still a great deal to come. The first witness was the Hatter that came in with teacup and piece of bread. When the Hatter took off his hat the Queen stared at him making him turn pale and fidgeted.
