ALICE IN WONDERLAND YA BOOK CLUB CHAPTER 12 ALICE’S EVIDENCE

Chapter 12 – Alice’s Evidence
BY Caro

Alice got up and forgetting how large she had grown she tipped over the jury box, and once everything had settled down the King asked Alice, “What do you know about this business?” but Alice knew nothing. The King then noticing Alice read that all person more than a mile high to leave the court according to rule forty two. Everyone in the court looked at Alice who denied being so tall and refused to leave. The trial continued and the Rabbit showed a letter the prisoner apparently had written to somebody, but the Knave denied it. It wasn’t directed to no one and it wasn’t his hand writing; the Queen though that all of these proved his guilt. The King then ordered the Rabbit to read it and once he was finished the King thought that that was the most important piece of evidence, he called for a verdict and Alice thought that was nonsense. The Queen shouted “Off with her head!”
