TV NEWS MARCH 29TH PART 2 VAMPIRE DIARIES, TRUE BLOOD, PRIMEVAL, DOCTOR WHO

‘Vampire Diaries’ Star Sara Canning Calls Nina Dobrev A ‘Great Roommate’ And Matt Davis A ‘Total Goof’

Sara Canning has her pick of hot dudes on the set of “The Vampire Diaries” (Paul Wesley, Ian Somerhalder, Zach Roerig… do we need to go on?), but the 22-year-old actress, who plays Elena and Jeremy’s Aunt Jenna on the show (we know! She’s so young!), told Betty Confidential that she wouldn’t actually date any of them. “The guys are nice, smart, and easy on the eyes, but they’re family to me,” she said.

She couldn’t even decide on which fictional man she’d choose, instead opting for a fusion of several. “In reality, I definitely go for a guy who is driven and has a good soul, but is also funny and bold,” Sara said. “And he’s gotta be able to keep me on my toes and challenge me. Doesn’t that sound like a mixture of Matt, Stefan, and Damon?”

Doctor Who – Vampires in Venice clip

Doctor Who doesn’t come back until April and the episode where this clip originates is even further into our future, but BBC released this bit of “Vampires in Venice” (episode 6 of the Matt Smith era) last Friday during an interview with Smith conducted by Jonathan Ross. I know a lot of fans are gonna love this, but it’s – rather comically – uniquely set up to not be for me. Post-Matheson, quality Vampire stories in any medium are scarce (for the purpose of full disclosure, I have to admit a healthy aversion to anything related vampires or zombies). Second, Venice is among the most overrated vacation destinations there is. The place is terribly inconvenient and the filthy (looking) water takes a lot away from any notion of preconceived positive ambiance. Now, if our good Doctor blows up the joint – killing all Vampires in process – this may be the best episode ever! Regardless, it’s over a minute-and-a-half of new Doctor Who for fans to get a taste of what to expect for the upcoming season!
