Review:
Jack is back! He and his crew have to do something that no one has done before – break into Hell. Saving Emma is something that he should be able to do with a snap of his sexy and talented fingers but he is no longer the Devil and is now painfully human. He has gathered together a band of unlikely heroes to find her and defeat Everett, his successor down under.
Emma is dutifully doing her time in Hell and gladly surrendered her wings so that Jack could be safe and have his soul back. She is forced to endure Everett’s torments from inside a cage that Jack cleverly designed to keep the reigning Devil away from her. She never waivers from the path that God has set before her and finds strength in an unexpected place. God answers prayers and she knows that soon she will be delivered.
Jack and his gang of brave half breeds face what seems to be insurmountable hurdles to bust Emma out of Hell and it’s the supporting characters that add an amazing twist to Bittersweet Seraphim that will mark your heart and touch your soul.
I have waited (not so patiently, I might add) for Debra Anastasia’s next book. I knew it was going to be something special, but I couldn’t have imagined the incredible journey it would take me on. There is the epic love of Jack and Emma – a love between a devil and an angel. It should be doomed from the beginning but love has a funny way of surviving the impossible – even death. The new characters of Kate, Nero, Jenny, Seriana, Dean, Violent, Mine and our old friend Jason – add beautifully crafted layers of emotion and feeling to the story.
