THE VAMPIRE DIARIES UPDATES: WEREWOLVES, TEAM DAMON AND A SHOCKING DEATH

Only a couple of episodes left beforeThe Vampire Diaries concludes its first season but before that happens, we can expect the show to lay plenty of twists and turns, including the emergence of werewolves, Stefan’s dark side and a major death of a series regular.

The Vampire Diaries hasn’t really tapped on the werewolf mythology though there have been several hints that suggest Tyler would turn into one. While this week’s episode appears to shed light on Tyler’s behavior during the full moon, don’t expect a full blown werewolf, at least not anytime soon.

“I think it is more interesting to keep [his inner werewolf] hidden or suppressed,” exec producer Kevin Williamson tells Entertainment Weekly, “and instead play out his aggression and daddy issues and things that are associated with a wolf without making him a wolf.” “[The werewolf card will eventually be played because] wherever there are vampires, there are usually wolves nearby,” notes Williamson.

VAMPIRE DIARIES FILMING SEASON FINALE IN COVINGTON SQUARE, GA

The Vampire Diaries is filming the season one finale right now in Covington Square, Covington, GA this week.

In the scene, Convington Square “plays” the fictional Mystic Falls which is celebrating its 150th Anniversary in the episode. The celebration includes a parade which they’ve been filming since Sunday.  via onlocationsvacations.
