Here’s proof that the TV biz hasn’t completely closed up shop for the holidays: L Word and 24 alum Mia Kirshner has just inked a deal to join the cast of The Vampire Diairies on a recurring basis, sources confirm to me exclusively.
Kirshner will be playing the role of Isobel, the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of Matt Davis’ history teacher, Alaric.

I’ve always found Mia Kirshner to be a talented actress. It will be interesting to see what she brings to The Vampire Diaries. As the wife of Alaric, it sounds quite juicy. What do you think of this casting choice?

I have nothing but positive things to say, and I may not be knowledgeable about the community to have my own facts 100% valid, but I thought this was great exposure for someone like myself who never knew a thing about it, and it's just beautiful. Although I admit, I do miss Dana, but bringing back Marina was a definite surprise!
