I’m a huge sucker for Ally Carter, so I absolutely had to review her novel! United We Spy was a fun title to do a playlist for!
About United We Spy:
Cammie Morgan has lost her father and her memory, but in the heart-pounding conclusion to the best-selling Gallagher Girls series, she finds her greatest mission yet. Cammie and her friends finally know why the terrorist organization called the Circle of Cavan has been hunting her. Now the spy girls and Zach must track down the Circle’s elite members to stop them before they implement a master plan that will change Cammie—and her country—forever. (Goodreads)
- Now by Paramore
Cammie wants it all now. She needs to track them down now. She needs everything to happen in her way, and now.
- This Kiss by Carly Rae Jepsen
I don’t want to spoil who it’s between, but there are quite a few great kisses in this novel. “This Kiss” is one of my favorite songs ever.
- Salute by Little Mix
“Salute” reminds me of United We Spy due to the strong female representation. Both the song and the book definitely show girl power!
- Never Grow Up by Taylor Swift
I feel like Cammie’s mom struggles to realize that her daughter is growing up and almost graduating! Taylor Swift masters this feeling perfectly.
- Like Whoa by Aly & AJ
This song is for the tenser, action-heavy moments in the book. (Like when Cammie has a key role!) While it’s about romance, I believe the tone of the song suits action scenes better.
- Hurricane by Bridgit Mendler
“Hurricane” is one of my favorite songs ever! I really love the carefree style the song is given in. While United We Spy is action-packed, I believe that it still has a loose, carefree feel.
- Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran
There are many reasons this song should be on the playlist. Just think about the title.
