Review:
The 5th book in the Country Road series Shannon Richard delivers again. Undressed can stand alone but after reading the other books in the series this book continues to develop the characters I have grown to appreciate. The style of writing is the same with the right amount of hot steamy sex scenes interspersed into a good story line. Undressed tells the love story between Abby and Logan both with pasts that can thwart their love for each other.
Abby is successful in her career with the sports team and has no difficulty with the clause that states she cannot have a personal relationship with any team members. All is well until she meets Logan. On a trip to Mirabel where Abby gets to see the kind and generous man Logan is she falls prey to his seduction. As the physical attraction between them escalates it becomes obvious that her job could be in jeopardy. On finding Logan’s past she becomes a victim again of having someone she loves walking away from her. Taking a new career path and then being fired from the team she feels she has lost everything. She has to wonder if Logan will ever trust her again. After talking to her friend in Mirabel she realizes she might have to fight for what she truly wants. But will it be enough!
Logan a successful hockey player prided himself on keeping his personal life private. His past mistakes have kept him distant from forming any serious relationships. That is until he met Abby. Physical attraction aside he just can’t put her out of his mind. As the relationship grows Logan realizes he is in love with Abby but when he finds out what she knows of his past he pushes her away. Only a friend makes him see what not having Abby in his life is doing to him. Can the want of her erase the distrust he felt?
I loved the way that the author is able to continue these stories without the reader finding the books predictable. Each has characters that are unique and believable.
The reader can put themselves in the setting and get immersed. I look forward should there be a sixth book.
