This is the third installment of the Silver Creek series and was a wonderful read. What a wonderful ending for the characters Cade and Amber.

Sometimes in life the only thing in the way of your happiness is you and I can see a lot of it happening here in the story of these two lost people. The characters of Silver Creek have a way of creeping into your heart and makes you want to be there.

I just got lost in the story and as I read, I got angry, aggravated and plain old wanted to shake them. So the goal of the writer is to make us leave our reality and enter the “reality” of the story, well all I can say is that Maisey Yates met her goal.

Cade and Amber have been the best of friends since the day Amber came to town at the age of 14. They know each other’s secrets and carry each other’s pain. And they both have the talent of lying to themselves.

Cade is a little lost because he doesn’t know where he belongs in life since the accident. Before the accident it was rodeo circuits one after another but during a ride someone sabotaged his horse leaving Cade permanently out of the rodeo circuit.

Amber is feeling out of control since her grandmother died and her grandfather’s ailing health, the two people who stood by her no matter how bad she behaved. Now with the bills piling up there’s a chance she may lose the only home she’s ever had. Now a man is coming around trying to force Amber and her grandfather to sell, putting even more pressure on Amber.

Amber and Cade’s friendship is spiraling out of control or is it their attraction to each other? Once the door is open neither one can stop the raw sexual desire and emotions that come flowing through.

You can feel the pain and raw emotions pouring from the pages and it completely submerged me. The Silver Creek series is a must read for romance and intrigue loving readers.
