KELLAN LUTZ AND ASHLEY GREENE TO HOST ‘YELLOWEEN’ PARTY ON HALLOWEEN
www.etonline.com: On Saturday, Oct. 31 Ashley Greene and Kellan Lutz — who play Alice and Emmett Cullen in the ‘Twilight’ series — will be hosting Veuve Clicquot Yelloween at the Las Vegas Venetian Hotel’s TAO and LAVO nightclubs. The actors will be joined by HBO’s “True Blood” stars Rutina Wesley, who plays Tara Thornton on the show, and Sam Trammell, who plays shapeshifter Sam Merlotte.

‘TWILIGHT’ GOES TO OXFORD
www.examiner.com: The Telegraph is reporting that students applying to Oxford University were asked a question about Twilight by Stephenie Meyer during the rigorous admissions process.
Here is the question that was asked in the interviews for applicants in English Literature:

TAYLOR LAUTNER SHOWS OFF HIS BOD IN ROLLING STONE

hoping that [I don’t get teased by my family] because I’ll start blushing.”
It seems like the teasing might start soon. Pictures of Lautner’s flesh-baring Rolling Stone photo shoot have surfaced on the Web in advance of their publication in the magazine. Snapped by renowned photographer Mark Seliger (who shot Megan Fox’s October RS cover), the photos show Lautner shirtless on a beach, a white T-shirt tucked into his back pocket, a leather football in his hands. Other photos show him straddling a motorcycle parked on the sand and running through waves with the pigskin tucked under his arm.

BRITISH AMAZON HAS 30 SECOND SNIPPETS OF ‘NEW MOON’ SOUNDTRACK
www.mtv.com: It’s not a leak, but the site British Amazon.com has given fans an unexpected preview of the hotly anticipated “New Moon” soundtrack (which hits stores on October 20) by posting a 30-second snippet of each song on the album.
Based on these clips, Lykke Li’s “Possibility” evokes a hazy fever dream, Muse’s “New Moon” remix of “I Belong to You” (the original version of which appears on their just-released album The Resistance) is a stately minuet, Bon Iver and St. Vincent’s “Rosyln” is hushed and churchly, and OK Go’s “Shooting the Moon” — with its weird sound effects — reminds us a whole lot of a Flaming Lips track.
