The story first broke last week close to the announcement of the Denali Coven casting, but there was no official word from Summit on the casting of nine year-old Mackenzie Foy as Renesmee Cullen. Well…author and Breaking Dawn producer Stephenie Meyer has given her two cents on Mackenzie joining the cast via a note on the official Twilight Saga Facebook page:
Very excited about our new Renesmee, Mackenzie Foy. She’s an amazing young actress and I’m excited to work with her.
Stephenie Meyer On The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide
Earlier this week, the release date for the long-awaited The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide was announced. Ms. Meyer updated her website with information about the book yesterday, noting the change from The Official Guide to the The Official IllustratedGuide as it will include illustrations from Young Kim, who illustrated the graphic novel released earlier this year.
She also commented on how the guide will include things like Alice’s back story, illustrations of Bella’s wedding dress, and much more:
“I’m always amazed at how many in-depth questions my readers have about my characters and the world within the Twilight Saga,” said Stephenie Meyer. “With The Official Illustrated Guide, I hoped we could incorporate as many details as possible, including character histories, like Alice’s back story. I’m thrilled with the different artistic interpretations done by Young Kim and the other talented illustrators, including Bella’s wedding dress. I hope the fans feel it was worth the wait!”
Peter Facinelli Tweets About “Breaking Dawn” Script
Always one to keep the fans informed on what he’s working on, Peter Facinelli tweeted yesterday about reading the script for “Breaking Dawn”. He wrote:
Just read the Breaking Dawn scripts. I must say… AWESOME! Very excited. 🙂
Seeing how Stephenie Meyer now has the title of “producer” for the next two installments of the Saga and the message was posted on the official Twilight Saga Facebook page, it would be safe to assume that was the official announcement of the youngest Cullen’s casting.
I was thrilled to see Stephenie’s comment on Alice’s back story being included in the guide. I absolutely crave more details on the Cullens’ lives before they were changed. I can’t wait to get my hands on that book!
