In a recent interview with Variety “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon spoke about the issues with Renesmee and her rapid growth in a short in the film, telling fans that he “has a solution up his sleeve to smooth fans’ issues with the controversial character“. Producer Wyck Godfrey was also quoted with his support of the casting of Mackenzie Foy for the role:
“We have found in Mackenzie all of the qualities we were looking for in an actress to fill the role of Renesmee . . . She is a very talented young actress who emerged head and shoulders above all who auditioned for the part, and we can’t wait to see what she brings to her role.”
