Queen Latifah Parodies New Moon at People’s Choice Awards
Queen Latifah opened up last night’s People’s Choice Awards with a parody of New Moon, trying to talk Edward into attending the show in LA while discussing things out in the woods. Edward gives her his list of demands as well as many reasons for why he and his family can’t go. New Twilight Action Figures from NECA
If you like to collect the Twilight figures, there will be four new ones available in April with wardrobe inspiration from New Moon. They include a shirtless Jacob, Jasper in the birthday party attire, and two variations of Edward with the shirt that he sheds in Volterra – and a sparkly version of that same figure. You can pre-order here or try your luck in stores when they come out in April.
Dakota Fanning Says Her Kiss with Kristen Stewart is “Passionate”

The Twilight Saga: New Moon co-stars lock lips in the rock ‘n’ roll biopic, which stars Fanning as Cherie Currie and Stewart as Joan Jett.
According to Just Jared, Fanning told V magazine: “[The kiss is] passionate, they were just as close as two could get.
Anna Kendrick to Counsel James McAvoy in New Cancer Dramedy
from hitfix.com:Anna Kendrick is starting to reap the benefits of her critically acclaimed and award-winning role in “Up in the Air.” The “Twilight” franchise star has just joined James McAvoy in Mandate’s new untitled cancer dramedy.
The new movie finds McAvoy as 25-year-old who is shocked to discover he has cancer. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the script is based on the real life experiences of Will Reiser, a screenwriter diagnosed around the same age who battled the disease for several years. Kendrick will play a young psychologist assigned to McAvoy’s character despite her lack of real life experience.
Seth Rogen also has a role in the film and will produce alongside writing partner Evan Goldberg and Ben Karlin. Reiser, who survived the disease, is executive producing. “Friends with Money’s” Nicole Holofcener was set to direct until bowing out in November over location differences. Jonathan Levine, best known for his underrated Sundance flick “The Wackness,” has stepped in to allow the project to move forward.
Taylor Lautner Set to Become Highest-Paid Teen Actor

Taylor Lautner’s got abs of gold. “New Moon” has reeled in $288 million in just seven weeks in theaters, making it the fifth-highest-grossing film of the year and climbing. Now the movie’s star is about to get paid. Big-time.
Lautner is set to earn $7.5 million for his next picture, according to a Deadline Hollywood report, making him the highest-paid teen in Hollywood. The film, titled “Northern Lights,” is about a young aerobatics pilot who falls in love with a female pilot. Helmed by “Max Payne” director John Moore, the film is set to start shooting on April 1.
According to the Deadline.com story, young stars like Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus have not commanded a paycheck nearly as large as Lautner’s. And the “Twilight” werewolf might get even more cash for his future projects.
A December report in Variety indicated that “Breaking Dawn,” the final book in the “Twilight” saga, may be split into two films, which would force Summit Entertainment to reopen negotiations with Lautner and co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Based on the blockbuster success of “New Moon,” that would likely mean a monster raise for Lautner.
Jackson Rathbone Pulls Out of Vikernes Role

The actor, who played Jasper Hale in the vampire love story, was due to take the lead role in Lords of Chaos but has dropped out because of a scheduling clash, reports Blabbermouth.net.
Vikernes, the former frontman for Norwegian black metal outfit Burzum, was jailed for the 1993 murder of Mayhem guitarist Oystein Aarseth.
Hayley Williams Explains Why Paramore Passed on the New Moon Soundtrack
from mtv.com:Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams waved her Twilighter flag proudly when her band lent their pop-punk power in “Decode” to the “Twilight” soundtrack. But Williams said they actually turned down an offer to be on the “New Moon” disc.
“Honestly, I had a good time being a part of the first one,” she told MTV News on the red carpet of the People’s Choice Awards, where “Twilight” won four awards. “They asked us if we wanted to do the second one, and I said no. I didn’t want to force anything. They did come to us really early, like before they knew if they would use it. We wanted it to be genuine.”
Eclipse Script Leak Not the Final Draft, Belonged to Jackson Rathbone

Anna Kendrick Fueled Fire Between George Clooney and Robert Pattinson

But Kendrick admits she helped egg on the pseudo-competition, bringing back a GQ magazine that she had Pattinson sign, “To George, Best of Luck. Hang in there. Love Rob.”
Clooney’s response? He signed his Esquire magazine, “Dear Rob, Thanks for all the inspiration. I’m a huge fan. Love, George, two-time ‘Sexiest Man Alive.’
I didn’t watch the People’s Choice Awards last night, but I thought that the parody was pretty cute. I’ve always liked Queen Latifah and I love how she cops an attitude to the “brooding” Edward.
The clothes on the figures look pretty good. The faces still seem off to me, but it would probably be really freaky if they did look just like the real guys. Do you plan to get any of the new action figures?
I am really looking forward to seeing The Runaways, but I’m not sure about seeing sweet little Dakota Fanning kissing Kristen Stewart. I think that I will always see her as a precocious little girl and this is definitely a big girl role. Even as sadistic Jane, she still had an aura of innocence.
It looks like Anna Kendrick’s career is really taking off (ha! – pun totally intended) with her recent success and to think that Taylor Lautner is about to be paid $7.5M for his next film is amazing. I pray that all of these young actors can stay as focused and grounded as they seem right now. I would hate to see them fall victim to the things that have ruined so many young actors.
While I was disappointed that Paramore didn’t contribute to the soundtrack, I’m excited to know that they haven’t ruled out doing another installment if they’re asked and they feel that it’s right. I admire them for not doing it just to advantage of the exposure .
Eclipse script…I didn’t really doubt that it was the real deal, but I love how Summit is quick to point out that it’s not the FINAL version. Like that would keep anyone from going to see the movie!!
LOL @ the magazine exchange between Rob and George Clooney and I’ve heard that Clooney is a master at epic practical jokes.
