Summit Entertainment has announced principal photography on the third Twilight movie, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, is underway.

The story of Eclipse will follow heroine Bella Swan as she nears graduation while trying to navigate the dangers of the ongoing vampire-werewolf struggle.  Mysterious killings turn up around Seattle and a malicious vampire looks for revenge.

 Eclipse will be directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night, Hard Candy) from a screenplay by Melissa Rosenberg based upon the novel by Stephenie Meyer.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will hit theaters:
USA  – June 30, 2010
UK – July 9, 2010

They really have sped up the film-making process since Twilight haven’t they?! I was disappointed to hear about Rachelle being replaced in Eclipse, but I gotta say the rest of the cast is looking UH-mazing!
