“BREAKING DAWN” CAST EVACUATED FOR TSUNAMI
In the wake of the magnitude 8.9 earthquake that devastated parts of Japan on Friday, members of the “Breaking Dawn” cast were evaucated from Vancouver Island as a precaution from the tsunami warning issued for the western coasts of the United States and Canada. People reports:
…the Vancouver Island beach area in British Columbia where Taylor Lautner and the rest of the Wolf Pack are filming the Twilight series’ Breaking Dawn has been evacuated.
The actors are not believed to be in any danger, but for safety measures they apparently have been moved out of the region.
The town where production is taking place, Tofino, contains a long stretch of open coast on the furthest westerly point of the island and was seen in the earlier The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
Actress Tinsel Korey tweeted about the evacuation experience with some rather dramatic tweets:
They’re evacuating us 4 a tsumnani [sic] warning. If this … is my last my tweet. I love you. The end. Hugz.
If this is the moment. Then I’ve lived a good life. And I’m thankful 4 everything I’ve been given.

PETER FACINELLI RESCHEDULES APPEARANCE
Due to an unexpected conflict, Peter Facinelli had to cancel his appearances for this weekend, but has already rescheduled. He announced via Twitter that he will be appearing in Vernon Hills, Illinois, at the Westfield Hawthorn Mall on Sunday, May 1 from noon until 5 PM.
I’m glad to hear that the cast was safe and it sounds like Tinsel Korey was really unnerved by the evacuation. From what I’ve seen, North America was really fortunate. Boats and material possessions can always be replaced. The tsunami warning system in place is an amazing thing and it definitely saved lives. As a side note, let’s not forget that parts of Japan are in absolute ruins and they need our help. If you can, please help. Click here to learn how you can help. Even a small donation of $10 can make a difference when it’s added to the donations from hundreds of thousands of other people!
What do you think of Ashley’s upcoming movie? Is it something you have any interest in seeing?
Don’t forget to set your DVR and tune in to catch Rob on TV on Friday night. You never know what he’s going to say. I loved his last visit to Jay Leno when he embarrassed his poor dad by reading some of the emails his dad sends him.
