KRISTEN STEWART IS A GREAT COOK

Kristen Stewart’s co-star from “On the Road”, Garrett Hedlund, recently spoke about Kristen’s cuilinary skills in a recent interview.  He told MTV, “You got to try the tortilla soup! It’s incredible. She’s honed it.”  Kristen spoke while on “The Today Show” last year about her love of baking and has commented in interviews that she wishes that the Twilight movies depicted more of Bella Swan cooking for Charlie.

KRISTEN STEWART COVERS VOGUE AND TALKS “TWILIGHT” AND FAME

Kristen Stewart covers the February 2011 issue of Vogue and talks about how “Twilight” has changed her life and her career. She also talks about how she wants to use the wealth that the role of Bella Swan has brought to her to help others. Inspired by her work in “Welcome to the Riley’s”, Kristen talks about how she would like to help women involved in the sex trade.

“Anytime I hear that somebody’s really rich, the first question is ‘Do you do anything with it? Or do you, like, chill? You just sit on it?'” She is thinking carefully, strategically, about how best to put her own contribution to use, and has a plan – inspired by her researches for the role of a runaway in the sex trade – to set up a network of halfway houses to help those who want to recover and get back on their feet. “That would be amazing,” she says. “Right now it’s the thing I feel most connected to.”

She also spoke about how she probably would not have become an actress if she had not gotten involved with acting at such a young age.  She tells Vogue:

“I don’t think I would have ever have been able to be an actress had I not started at nine-years-old. I would have been the last person to stand up and say, ‘I’d like to star in the play.”

DAKOTA FANNING MAKES W MAGAZINE’S LIST OF BEST PERFORMANCES

With award season going into high-gear tonight with the Golden Globes, W Magazine has their list of the 20 best performances.  The preface to the article supporting their list reads like this:

The most remarkable moments in film this past year weren’t 3-D action sequences but characters so real they hurt. Here, the actors who made us believe.

Twilight star Dakota Fanning made the list at number 10 for her role as Cherie Currie in “The Runaways” in which she co-starred with fellow Twilight star Kristen Stewart.

Will you be tuning in to watch the Golden Globes tonight?  Do you have a favorite for any of the awards?

When I hear people talk about how great of a cook Kristen is and I’ve heard her muse that she wishes that Bella cooked more in the films, it really stirs up some of the ire that I felt after watching the first film and seeing that Bella never cooked for Charlie in the movie.  I don’t know the reasons why those scenes were cut, but it’s just essential to Bella’s character to show her taking care of others and being the adult and caretaker in the parent-child relationships with Charlie and Renee.  I’ve heard comments of how it’s anti-feminist, but those critics are missing the part where she learned to cook in order to survive because her mother was a terrible cook.  She cooked for Renee, too.  Do you also wish that there had been more scenes of Bella cooking instead of eating at the diner with Charlie?

I love to hear that Kristen is being very cautious and conscientious about what she does with the wealth that she is acquiring through her acting.  I often hear of celebrities throwing money at causes without really giving much thought to where they are giving their money.  Many times it is purely for the publicity that they will receive and that just repulses me.  I like that she intends to be very deliberate with her philanthropic efforts.

I love, love, love the Legos scenes!  It’s always fun to see what kinds of creative things people to do generate their own fan art for movies and TV shows.

What do you think of Michael Sheen as a Bond villain?  Seeing how he plays Aro flawlessly, I think that it’s a perfect fit.
