Watch what happens BETWEEN the eps in 2 new Doctor Who webisodes

Ever wonder what the Time Lord and his companion get up to BETWEEN the episodes? Doctor Who: The Complete Fifth Series came out today on DVD and Blu-ray, answering that question with two newly written scenes titled “Meanwhile in the TARDIS.”

Written by Doctor Who show runner Steven Moffat himself, the two short scenes serve as a bridge between certain episodes of the series to show us all what takes place with the Doctor and Amy in the TARDIS when we’re not looking.

Can’t wait for Spielberg’s Falling Skies? Catch the prequel NOW

Steven Spielberg’s Falling Skies won’t hit TV until next year, but if you don’t want to wait for June 2011 to see what the alien invasion series has in store, TNT has started posting biweekly installments of a prequel online.

Falling Skies: The Web Comic, written by Paul Tobin and illustrated by Juan Ferreyra, follows up on the 12-page Falling Skies comic released at New York Comic Con. There’ll be a new chapter at TNT every two weeks until the series premieres.

True Blood Gets a New Witch in Harry Potter’s Aunt

Two of my very favorite things in the world are about to collide: Harry Potter and True Blood! Fiona Shaw, best known as Aunt Petunia Dursley from the Harry Potter films, is joining the cast of True Blood as a series regular. She’s playing Marnie, a palm reader who becomes possessed by the spirit of a powerful witch (good news for those of you who were tiring of all those other creatures on the show).

Though the character was supposed to be a bit younger in the book, the age is being tweaked so Shaw can portray her.
