The 27-year-old actress explains why every episode of her hit HBO series is so sexual. “Obviously, if you’re getting into vampire sex, which usually involves biting — the taking — then, yeah, clearly there’s some interest from both parties into maybe a more risque style of lovemaking and sex. But on another level, if you take away the pervier aspect of it, the sex is the deepest way these two people can be connected.

THE VAMPIRE DIARIES AND WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS

During the same interview in which he gave an update on Scream 4, Kevin Williamson dished out a little info on what fans of his hit TV series The Vampire Diaries have to look forward to in the coming years (yes, years)!

Before he got to the future, though, Williamson talked a bit to iF Magazine about the present state of the show and how fortunate he was to find Nina Dobrev, Paul Wesley, and Ian Somerhalder to play his three leads, Dobrev in particular.“You know, it is always hard to find that anchor…And it is so hard to cast that part that you actually see when you do it and when you don’t do it…We so scored with her [Dobrev] and the two guys [Somerhalder and Wesley]. I mean, I feel like I’ve hit a home run, and for whatever part I played in that, I pat myself on the back.

I agree with Anna, you reaaaalllllly need to love someone in order to drink their blood. What are your thoughts?

Do you think the casting choices for The Vampire Diaries is on point as Williamson suggests?  Who else could you see playing the role of the the three main leads?

On another note, I love the fact that Vampire Diaries is going down the sinister path with the emergence of all these new vampires. At the beginning it was a little too light to be true vampire fare, but things are heating up nicely. Keep the blood coming!
