Boston vampire fans will get a taste of the Southern Gothic on Saturday, September 5, when two True Blood stars host a vampire-themed party at Kings, a restaurant, bar, and bowling alley located at 50 Dalton Street in the Back Bay.
Rutina Wesley, who plays leading lady Sookie Stackhouse’s best friend Tara, and Nelsan Ellis, who plays short-order cook Lafayette, will meet and greet fans at the party next Saturday. According to the Boston Globe, Kings will be transformed into True Blood vampire hang-out Fangtasia for the night, complete with coffins and, for the bloodsuckers among us, imitation Tru Blood beverages (blood-orange soda packaged in props resembling the bottles used on the show. It’s available at HBO.com). The Boston Globe is also reporting that Ellis and Wesley will be asking fans to donate blood to benefit the Red Cross. You can RSVP to the party at rcn.com; however, don’t get too excited if you’re an underage college student. You have to be 21 to get in.
