‘True Blood’ Makeup

And they just keep milking that money cow that is True Blood!!  I do enjoy the show, but sometimes the marketing becomes a little much.  I’m actually kind of surprised that the make-up line didn’t launch a long time ago though.  And I do really like that corset style packaging though.

Nail polish guru Deborah Lippmann and HBO have teamed up for a True Blood-inspired line of makeup in an array of bloody and/or deathly pale vampire colors.

The True Blood makeup line is available this August will include lipstick, nail polish, body cream, body shimmer, a fragrance (inan extremely tacky bottle), a candle, and a diffuser. All the products got clever vampiric names like New Flesh, Bad Blood and Bite Me  — all evocative of the sexy Southern Gothic show. Prices are a bit on the high end (Lippmann’s day job, for those of you who aren’t in the know, is selling $16 bottles of nail polish), so it will be interesting to see how well the line sells on the Home Shopping Network.” (BlackBookMag.com)
