I finally read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo after four years. The book is amazing, I will admit, and in honor of such a wonderful heroine, here are the book’s covers!
About The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo:
Harriet Vanger, a scion of one of Sweden’s wealthiest families disappeared over forty years ago. All these years later, her aged uncle continues to seek the truth. He hires Mikael Blomkvist, a crusading journalist recently trapped by a libel conviction, to investigate. He is aided by the pierced and tattooed punk prodigy Lisbeth Salander. Together they tap into a vein of iniquity and corruption. (From the back cover)
English
This cover is absolutely legendary. The background is subtle, and it intertwines perfectly with the lettering of the title.
German
This cover wins the “Creepiest Photo of an Inanimate Object” award. Bask in the glory of the blue light.
Italian
Intriguing, bloody, and very royal. There is no better way to interest a reader.
Indonesian
Lisbeth blends in with the cover — perhaps such a juxtaposition symbolizes the effect of the novel on the reader, how it’s impossible to tell Lisbeth apart from the book, as Lisbeth is the book in a sense.
Dutch
Lisbeth’s eyes capture me. Although I’m a little freaked out by the fact that she doesn’t have a mouth…

Stieg Larsson is a good author. And this is his best work, no doubt.
But to say truth, it was his only book that was interesting for me. Next ones I read were boring and I wasn’t so exited about what is going to happen.
P.S. First two covers are the best 🙂
