Bruce Campbell to join ‘True Blood’?
True Blood creator Alan Ball has revealed that he is unsure about introducing the character of Bubba into the HBO drama.
In the original novels by Charlaine Harris, ‘Bubba’ is a vampiric Elvis Presley. During the True Blood panel at Comic-Con, Ball explained that he was uncertain if the character would work on television. He also admitted that he was hesitant to have an actor impersonate Elvis.
Torchwood’s creator warns series’ 4th season will be ‘dark’
In response to an interviewer’s question in SFX about the “darkness” of Children Of Earth, Davies responded that [spoilers ahead]:
Actually, this story is also very dark. I think with that, Torchwood found its feet. People found something very compelling and very chilling about it. I love the way people got on their high horse saying, ‘Oh, he killed his grandson!’ Hello! He saved every single child in the world! If you would fail to do that then you’re the monster, frankly. “Supernatural” fans are buzzing about the series one-year time jump for Season 6. Zap2it caught up with new showrunner Sera Gamble at Comic-Con to get the scoop on what we can expect this year.
“Dean has been out of hunting for a year,” she confirms. “He’s been living with a woman, Lisa Braden, for a year, and her child, her twelve-year-old, so he’s out of the life, thinking his brother’s been dead for a year.”
Of course, “Supernatural” wouldn’t be much of a show if it were about domesticated Dean, so he’ll get pulled back into hunting with Sam pretty quickly. What will they be hunting? Well… let’s just say those boys from “The Vampire Diaries” better watch their backs.
