Summary:
Live fast, fight hard and if you have to die then take as many of your enemies with you as you can. That is the Amazon credo and it was one Samia lived and died by. Now in contemporary New Orleans, the immortal Amazon warrior is about to learn that there’s a worse evil coming to slaughter mankind than she’s ever faced before.
Shapeshifter Dev Peltier has stood guard at the front of Sanctuary for almost two hundred years and in that time, he’s seen it all. Or so he thought. Now their enemies have discovered a new source of power- one that makes a mockery of anything faced to date.
The war is on and Dev and Sam are guarding ground zero. But in order to win, they will have to break the most cardinal of all rules and pray it doesn’t unravel the universe as we know it.

Review:
This is the 19th book in the Dark Hunter series and it remains true to form. I do enjoy this series but I find most of the books too similar. I guess that is to be expected with 19 books and counting in a single series.
That being said, No Mercy had a few different twists. I really enjoyed Dev and Sam as a team. I found both characters strong and extremely funny together.
I also found the over all feeling of this book different. The fearless leader, Acheron, didn’t seem such a strong presence through out the book. And Nick is just so messed up, you are not really sure what is going with him.
I did love the conclusion, (it was different than the usual get your soul back ending which fit in most of the books) for this book it was a good change of pace.
I would recommend this book and series but every book will not captivate. Most are lukewarm, but then you get the ones that are burning hot and they make it the series worth it.
