Review: From the moment you sit down to start reading the final installment in the Percy Jackson Series until the last page, you will be thrown into a world fueled by intense action and startling revelations. Rick Riordan does not disappoint in delivery for the fans of his beloved Percy.
Most of the story takes place in New York City where Mount Olympus is located. Percy, Annabeth, Grover, and Tyson must all fight the toughest battle of their lives against Luke who has been taken over by Kronos. Each of the characters has grown so much from the start of the series. Percy proves he is worthy of being called a hero! I ABSOLUTELY love the final book to the series!
Big events:
–Percy finally gets to visit Posiden’s underwater palace which is awesome!
–Rachel Dare plays a MAJOR role in this book. It was still cute how jealous Annabeth got when she was around.
–Learn about Luke and his childhood. Who his mother is and what happened with her. About Hermes and Luke’s mother.
–Learn more about Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia in their early years when they were on the run.
–Silena Bearegard tosses in a HUGE twist in the story!
–The AMAZING battle in New York to keep Kronos from reaching Olympus while the Gods fight Typhon (really strong monster).
–Some characters are lost as the causalities of war.
–What happens to Kronos is a TOTALLY GREAT twist!!
–FINALLY Annabeth and Percy admit their feelings for each other in the sweetest way! But don’t worry, they still keep up their bantering =)
I loved the ending!! Thankfully, Rick Riordan decided to create a spin off series and continue with more adventures with Percy and his crew. I cannot wait to jump in with them!
